The menu is inspired by Yayoi Kusama

Yayoi Kusama (b. 1929, Matsumoto, Japan) is one of the most important contemporary artists. This retrospective exhibition - its first major exhibition in Israel - gathers works created over nearly eighty years. The exhibition extensively reviews her artistic work to date, and traces her work in Japan, the United States, and Europe, from her early paintings and sculptures to her installations that surround the viewer from all sides

As part of Pastel’s collaboration with the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Chef Bachar, inspired by the exhibition, put together a festive special menu.

Among these special dishes: the famous Faberge egg

Chef Bachar served as a sous-chef at the mythical restaurant "Mool Yam" for 10 years, and now in honor of the exhibition, he is bringing back to life one of the restaurant's iconic desserts.

The Faberge egg is an art in itself. It is a kind of crystal ball made of sugar, which, when broken, reveals orange whipped cream, mandarin Louisa sorbet, popsicles, and fresh berries, and now it is endowed by the famous dot decoration as a homage to the Japanese artist
